Actor Kavin gained significant acclaim following his appearance on the third season of Vijay TV’s reality program, Bigg Boss. On the 95th day of the Bigg Boss Tamil Season 3 Kavin decided to walk out of the show by taking the offer of Rs 5 lakhs. Still, many claim that if he had continued with the show he could have won the Bigg Boss Title of Season 3. Kavin gained popularity among Tamil audiences following his appearance on the highly successful Vijay Television show, Kana Kaanum Kaalangal. He subsequently acted in several other Vijay TV shows, including Saravanan Meenakshi and Thayumanavan, and also participated as a contestant on Bigg Boss Tamil Season 3. Kavin then made a successful transition to the big screen, first in a supporting role in Vikram Prabhu’s Sathriyan, before making his Tamil cinema hero debut in Natpuna Ennanu Theriyuma (2019). His latest film, Lift (2021), was released directly on streaming and received critical acclaim. Earlier this year, Kavin’s performance in the coming-of-age romantic comedy-drama film, Dada, was highly appreciated by audiences and proved to be a box office success. Looking ahead, Kavin has an untitled film in the works, directed by choreographer Sathish Krishnan, and is also reportedly collaborating with director Elan of Pyaar Prema Kaadhal fame on an upcoming project.
