Central government warns users of Google Chrome. The Computer Emergency Response Team under the Central Government has announced that several security vulnerabilities have been found in the Google Chrome desktop version of Chrome. As part of security, the Computer Emergency Response Team also suggested using the new security patch in the latest version of the Chrome browser. The computer emergency response team also said that the security breach occurred for various reasons, including out-of-bounds memory access on the keyboard. This allows hackers to abuse the browser’s memory.
Hackers can use this opportunity to hack users’ passwords, banking details and many other personal information, which could lead to financial frauds, the warning said. Cyber crooks may be able to exploit this vulnerability by tricking the user into visiting a specially crafted web page. So the warning says to be careful.
The vulnerability was found in Google Chrome versions prior to 125.0.6422.141/.142 for Windows and Mac. The Computer Emergency Response Team also reported that the security flaw was also found in Google Chrome versions of Linux prior to 125.0.6422.141.
