Speaking to reporters,Director Major Ravi said that Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has given consent for acting in his Malayalam film “Kandahar”, a film inspired by the hijacking of Indian Airlines flight IC-814 in 1999 that will also star veteran actor Mohanlal.The news came when Bachchan was here in Kochi to unveil the ‘Jeevarogya Medical Welfare’ campaign launched by Pookutty’s Foundation. Amitabh will be seen as the father of a passenger on the ill-fated plane that has been hijacked and Mohanlal will play a commando.This is Ravi’s a former NSG commando himselves fourth film after “Keerthichakara” and “Kuruskshetra”, both featuring Mohanlal, and “Mission 90 Days” which starred Mammootty .The film will be shot in Delhi, Nepal besides Kerala.
