The High Court issued notice to the accused in the appeal filed by the government against the District Sessions Court verdict acquitting the accused RSS workers in the Riyaz Maulavi murder case. The court ordered the opposing parties to appear before the Kasargod Sessions Court within 10 days of receiving the notice and deposit money. The order was accepted in the government appeal file.
The High Court also ordered that if the bond is not posted, the Sessions Judge should issue a warrant against them under the non-bailable section. The government’s appeal has been adjourned until after the summer recess. In the appeal, the government has pointed out that the trial court failed to examine the evidence.
