Chief Minister Ooman Chandy came to pay tribute to the veteran film producer and director Navodaya Appachan. He has also given special instruction to chief secretary K. Jayakumar to make necessary arrangements for giving Kerala state honour to veteran producer during the funeral to be held in Chennai.

Politicans, film stars and people form all the fileds came to pay tribute to Navodya Appachan. He was the man who look forward to lead Malyalam film industry to international standard and his contribution to film industry is uncountable.

Union minister K.C. Venu-gopal, minister P. K. Kunhalikutty and MLAs Hibi Eden, Benny Behanan, Director T.K Rajeev Kumar, Sibi Malayil, Fazil, Siddique, Innocent, Menaka Suresh, Kunchacko Boban and T.E. Vasudevan came there to pay homage to Navodya Appachan
