Kinshasa: More than 20 people have been killed in a volcanic eruption in the African country of Congo. The Nyiragongo volcano erupted Saturday night near the Rwandan border in eastern Congo. More than 500 homes in the area were destroyed and more than 30,000 were displaced.
The Nyiragongo volcano erupted last night. Most of the deaths were caused by lava flows and the aftermath of the eruption. During the flight, a truck overturned, killing five people. Hundreds have been injured.
