New York: Google has issued a stern warning to employees who do not get vaccinated. New reports suggest that employees could lose their jobs if they fail to comply with the company’s Covid 19 vaccination rules.
Google’s management had asked employees to provide the company with proof of their vaccination status before December 3. The circular also says that the company should be informed if there are any health issues or religious concessions required to avoid getting the vaccine.
CNBC reports that Google has announced that after December 3, the company will be in direct contact with employees who have not uploaded their vaccination status and who have been denied exemptions. Employees who do not comply with the vaccination rules by January 18 will be given the first 30 days of paid leave. Thereafter, he will be placed on unpaid personal leave for up to six months, after which he will be dismissed.
Following the Omicron expansion, Google extended the work-from-home page, citing employee protests. By January 10, Google was hoping to be able to work three days a week in the office.
