Geneva: UN agencies, including the World Health Organization, have called on Russia to end its attacks on hospitals in Ukraine. The demand comes in the wake of patients and health workers being killed and seriously injured in the attacks. UN agencies say vital health infrastructure in Ukraine is being destroyed and thousands of people are being denied health care.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that talks with Russia will continue and that he is looking forward to meeting with Vladimir Putin. He said the two countries were holding daily talks via video conference. Zelensky said talks were needed to establish more humanitarian corridors and a ceasefire.
