Kyiv: Civil war intensifies in Ukraine. The Donetsk People’s Republic has accused Ukrainian forces of launching an offensive in the Donetsk region. However, Ukraine’s coalition forces have blamed insurgents for the attack. The situation is escalating into a conflict as rebel groups call for armaments.
The army also released images of evidence of artillery fire. Meanwhile, Ukraine also shelled the Russian territory of Rostov-on-Don. The picture has been released by the Russian media. Meanwhile, many people, including children, sought refuge in Russia from the rebel-held cities of Lugansk and Donetsk. More than 25,000 people have already arrived in Rostov.
The Ukrainian military says one soldier has been killed and two wounded in a rebel attack. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said there had been 17 shelling in the past 24 hours. At least 39 houses have been damaged in the attack by Ukrainian forces in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions.
The Lugansk People’s Republic has accused the Ukrainian military of using 120mm shells in violation of the Minsk agreement. There have been two explosions in the southern Donbas gas pipeline. But Ukraine said it had no role to play. Russia, meanwhile, has denied any involvement in the attack, saying it was Ukraine’s internal affairs. Despite Russia’s repeated calls for a withdrawal of troops, a satellite image of the military deployment on the Ukrainian border has been released. Russia has also tested a new ballistic missile.
