Islamabad: At least 26 people have been killed in heavy rain in various provinces in Pakistan over the past two days. Many were injured, Pakistani media reports. The worst affected were Balochistan, Punjab and Sind provinces.
There are reports that electricity, transport, news and communication networks have damaged and many houses have collapsed. Nine died in Balochistan and Punjab provinces and five died in Sindh. Three people were killed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Xinhua reported.
In Karachi, the school collapsed and many children were injured. A group of 10 people from Karachi went fishing in the sea. Later, the Navy had searched six persons. Search for others continues.
