Kabul: The Taliban raided Indian embassies in Afghanistan. Kabul is reportedly controlled by the Taliban’s Haqqani network. The team inspected the papers and files on the shelves and took away the vehicles parked at the Indian embassies.
Information about what happened to the embassies in Jalalabad and Kabul is not yet available. About 6,000 cadres, led by Anas Haqqani and his brother Sirajuddin Haqqani, have taken control of Kabul. Anas Haqqani met with former President Hamid Karzai, HCNR Chairman Abdullah, and senior Hizb-e-Islami leader Gulabuddin Hikmatyar. This indicates that they are all under the control of the Taliban.
Although the control of Kabul is taken by the Haqqani network, there are indications that the son of former Taliban leader Mullah Omar, has begun moves to take control of Kabul, led by Mullah Yaqub,in Kandahar.
