Kabul: Five people were killed in a suicide attack outside the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kabul, Afghanistan.
Yesterday there was a shocking explosion in the Afghan capital. International media reported that many people were injured in the incident.
Kabul Police Chief Khalid Zadran said such an attack on the Muslim community was cowardly. He also responded that the country condemns the incident. Five deaths have been reported so far. The death toll is likely to rise further, he said. More than 40 people were seriously injured in the blast, according to some Afghan-based NGOs.
No terrorist organization has claimed responsibility for the incident. But the Taliban claim that the Islamic State of Khorasan is behind the attack. The Islamic State has carried out constant attacks since the Taliban took over the country.
