Beijing: Heavy snowfall in China has killed 21 people who took part in the 100km cross country mountain marathon. The disaster was caused by hail, rain, and strong winds.
The incident happened on Saturday. The competition was held in the Yellow River Stone Forest near Boyne City in the northwestern Gansu Province. This is an area very high above sea level.
