Abuja, Nigeria: More than 30 people were killed in a stampede during a food distribution program at a mosque in southern Nigeria on Saturday. Police said 31 people were killed in the stampede. The dead included children. The injured were rushed to nearby hospitals, police said. Nigeria has witnessed several fatalities in recent years over food distribution.
