Stockholm: US researcher John Hopfield and Canadian researcher Geoffrey Hinton, who developed machine learning techniques based on artificial intelligence, won the Nobel Prize in Physics. The award is for discoveries related to making machine learning possible using neural networks. They found a way to train neural networks with the support of physics. Hope Field is a professor at Princeton University in New Jersey. Hinton is a professor at the University of Toronto.
