New Delhi: The DGCA said plans were afoot to launch flights from the six countries where travel was banned and that the launch date of commercial flights would be announced soon as per the directions of the Ministry of Health.
False information about the flight dates has been circulating since news broke that flights to six countries, including India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Bangladesh, and Nepal, would resume soon. In response to news circulating on social media, the DGCA said in a statement that no date has been set for the resumption of flights.
At present, the airport handles about 7,500 passengers per day. According to the report, the government is examining the DGCA’s recommendation to provide more passenger facilities.
