Tashkent: All manufacturing operations of the syrup company were halted due to the drinking of the syrup produced by the Indian company. Noida-based syrup maker Marion Biotech has suspended its drug production operations. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandavya informed the media that the investigation into the incident is in progress.
After Uzbekistan alleged that 18 children died after drinking the syrup produced by the Indian company, the company stopped production. The company expressed regret over the death of the children. However, the company said that the drug has not been sold in India. They also clarified that there is only the export of medicine. National media reports that the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization has started an investigation. Officials inspected the company’s Noida office.
