Nairobi: Seven, including children, were killed in an airstrike in Tigray province in the northern region of Ethiopia.
Nine people were seriously injured. The airstrikes came as clashes between Ethiopian forces and local forces in Tigray intensified after a four-month ceasefire.
Tigray Television alleged that the airstrikes by Ethiopian forces targeted a children’s playground. Ethiopia denied this.
