New Delhi: Lockdown extended to June 30 with more concessions. The government has decided to phase out the lockdown. The exemption from June 8 does not apply to containment zones. Strict restrictions will remain in place. Elsewhere, hotels and restaurants will open after June 8. They must comply with the guidelines of the Department of Health.
Travel across the state and the district is also permitted. It does not require prior permission or e-pass. The respective state governments can assess the situation and impose restrictions. Meanwhile, overnight bans will continue. Educational institutions will be opened in the second phase. International travel and metro transport will be restored in the third phase. At this stage, movie theaters, gymnasiums, and swimming pools and parks will be opened. Other public programs will also be permitted at this stage.
