Mumbai: The Mumbai police have filed a charge sheet in a TRP fraud case against 12 people, including a Republic TV employee. The charge sheet is being filed on 1,400 pages.
The case is being investigated by the Crime Intelligence Unit of the Mumbai Police. Mumbai police have found that Republic TV, Box Cinema, and Fakth Maratha had fraudulently inflated ratings.
Shyam Singh the Chief Executive Officer of Republic TV and Arnab Goswami included in the accused list. The employee of the agency rating agency Hansari Research included in the channel rating Staff and employees of the other two channels is also included in the list. BARC members and forensic auditors are included in the testimonial list. The transcripts of the two copies were filed in front of the Magistrate.
