Thiruvananthapuram: Rain continues to spread across the state. The meteorological department predicts that in seven districts Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Ernakulam, and Thrissur districts will experience heavy rainfall over the next three hours. The Meteorological Department stated that showers and thunderstorms are possible at times. Winds are possible at speeds of up to 40 km / h. Fishermen are warned not to go to sea.

The water authority said that due to the shutter opening, the water levels in the Karamana river were rising and people living on both sides of the river should be vigilant.
The shutters at Karappuzha Dam will be reopened tomorrow as part of the rainy season, officials said. It has been decided to open three shutters at 5 centimeters from 11 am tomorrow. The Karapuzha Executive Engineer has warned that those near the river where the water is flowing should be vigilant.
