New Delhi: The Center has slashed fuel prices in the country after a long wait. The central excise duty has been reduced by Rs 8 for petrol and Rs 6 for diesel. With this, petrol will be cheaper by Rs 9.50 per liter and diesel by Rs 7 per liter. The revised price will come into effect from tomorrow morning. In Kerala, petrol will be reduced by Rs 10.45. Diesel will cost Rs 7.37 less. A subsidy of Rs 200 per LPG cylinder has also been sanctioned.
