Thiruvananthapuram: The reality show contestant Rejith Kumar has been taken into police custody. It was reported that Rejith Kumar, who was taken into custody from his home in Attingal in Thiruvananthapuram, was taken to Kochi.
Rejith Kumar, meanwhile, said he was part of the reality show and was unaware of the restrictions imposed on the state by Covid 19.
Police have registered a case against 75 persons in connection with the incident in which Rejith Kumar welcomed at Nedumbassery airport after violating the restrictions imposed by the government. Thirteen of them were arrested. They were accused of violating the High Court’s order not to hold any demonstration or gathering within the 500-meter radius of the airport.
