ONAM RELEASES TO BE CRAMMED WITH ACTIONS: IT’S KOTHA v/s BOSS v/s RDX
This year’s Onam movies are gearing up for release and the most hyped movie among the Onam releases currently stands for Dulquer Salmaan’s ‘King Of Kotha’.
This year’s Onam releases are going to release from 24th August and currently, there are three movies charted for Onam Releases which come under the action thriller genres. So, this year’s Onam movies will be a treat for action lovers. The three movies which are currently ready for Onam are King of Kotha, Ramachandra Boss & Co and RDX. The trailers and teasers of these movies are released on YouTube and all three films have got a positive response. But, the most anticipated movie among the Onam releases is Dulquer’s King Of Kotha. So, let’s look into the all onam releases in detail.
•KING OF KOTHA:
From the time of the announcement, Dulquer Salmaan’s King Of Kotha was getting hype and it’s been we saw Dulquer doing a full-fledged Malayalam movie. So the fans and DQ lovers have been waiting for his comeback and now King Of Kotha will release on 24th August as a Pan-Indian film.
King of Kotha is directed by Abhilash Joshiy and his father is none other than veteran filmmaker Joshiy. So, I’m excited to see the direction of Abhilash Joshiy and how he is going to present Dulquer in a mass role. King of Kotha is the first Onam release and the movie will have a special show from 07:00 AM. The hype which the movie has is huge and the fans of Dulquer have lots of expectations and they are waiting to see their favorite DQ. The theatre charting has been done and the movie is expected to have a release in 500+ screens in Kerala.
King of KOTHA has created some records before the release, the audio rights, satellite rights, digital rights and overseas rights were sold for record price. The hype of King of Kotha and Dulquer’s stardom is the reason for the new non-theatrical record. The first-day collection of KOK is expected to be in record numbers and it’s a Pan-Indian release also so a heavy initial collection will be reported. King of Kotha has also created an All-Time Record on YouTube, KOK breaks KGF Chapter- 2 24 Hrs Trailer views Record in 11 Hrs. •RAMACHANDRA BOSS & CO:
Last year was not a memorable year for Nivin Pauly, his various movies had come with lots of expectations but were unable to conquer the box-office. So, Nivin Pauly is looking for a comeback and will Ramachandra Boss & Co directed by Haneef Adeni the answer to it? Nivin Pauly under Pauly Jr. Pictures and Listen Stephen of Magic Frames produced the movie and now the film is charted among the Onam releases. For King of Kotha, the major opponent will be Nivin Pauly’s Ramachandra Boss & Co.
The teaser of the movie was released on YouTube and within 3 days the teaser was able to achieve 3.8 Million views. The glimpse from the trailer is indicating that the movie will be a heist movie and the tagline of the film ‘A Pravasi Heist’ gives more curiosity and interest. The mix of comedy in a thriller mood is the expected style of the film so the family audiences will also be attracted. The Kerala box-office has witnessed several times the dominance of Nivin Pauly’s movies so if the word of the public is positive we will be able to see a strong comeback of Nivin Pauly.
The transformation and outlook of Nivin Pauly was unexpected and now he looks stylish and fit. For the director Aneef Adeni also this film is crucial because his last film with Nivin Pauly Micheal came with lots of expectations but failed at the box-office. •RDX:
The makers of Minnali Murali’s ‘Weekend Blockbusters’ is a prominent production house in Kerala and Sophia Paul under Weekend Blockbusters had produced the Superhit movies like Bangalore Days and Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol. So now for this Onam season, Sophia Paul arrives with RDX: Robert Dony Xaveir. Shane Nigam, Antony Varghese and Neeraj Madhav do the lead roles and the debutant Nahas Hidayath is directing the film.
The tagline of the movie is ‘Let the fight begin’, so it’s a mass action movie and the glimpse from the trailer and teaser is giving hope for a complete action movie. The movie is made as a Pan-Indian film and aims to release in several languages. Stunt directors like Anbumani and Arivumani have been selected for making the action sequences so RDX is going to be filled with power-packed actions.
The trailer of the film was released yesterday and crossed 1.4 million views. the movie will be released on 25th August and let’s wait and watch how RDX is going to survive along with KOK and Boss & Co.
