New Delhi: The current lockdown in Guwahati in Assam has been extended for another two weeks due to the spread of corona virus. Assam Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma said pharmacies would only open in the next two weeks and there would be a curfew at night. Lockdown has been extended for another two weeks, with the number of cases of COVID cases soaring since June 15.
More than 6,300 cases of corona virus were reported here. Assam is one of the most affected states in the North East. Nine deaths have been reported in connection with the epidemic, the health ministry said.
