Thiruvananthapuram: The Central Meteorological Department has predicted widespread rains and heavy rains at isolated places in Kerala today and tomorrow.
Monsoon trough is shifted southwards from its normal position. The situation is likely to continue for the next 3-4 days. The ‘Intensified Low Pressure’ which was located in northwest-central West Bay of Bengal near South Odisha-North Andhra coast has moved in a west-northwest direction and is located near South Odisha coast. During the next 24 hours, it is likely to move in a west-northwest direction and decrease in strength. As a result of this, widespread rainfall is expected.
