Thrissur: Outbreak of West Nile Fever has been confirmed in Thrissur. The disease was confirmed by Asharikkad in Thrissur Panancherry panchayath. The patient is being treated at the Govt Medical College Hospital.
West Nile fever can be fatal. Culex is an infectious disease transmitted by mosquitoes. No drug or vaccine has been found for this.
