Thiruvananthapuram: AI cameras have started working in the state to catch traffic violations. However, Transport Minister Antony Raju has clarified that for one month, fines will not be charged for violations caught by AI cameras. The fine was not charged till May 19. The minister informed that people will be made aware of violations of the law during this period and those who violate the law will be fined from May 20.
Minister Antony Raju said that AI cameras are a worry for lawbreakers and a relief for law-abiding ones. The minister also informed that no change has been made in the current rules to install AI cameras.
