Thiruvananthapuram: The decision was taken not to open theaters in the state immediately. The decision was taken at a meeting of film organizations convened by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
The film industry agreed with the suggestion that it would be better to postpone the decision in the current situation. The meeting was also attended by organizations such as Balan, Film Chamber, and the Producers’ Association.
Despite the central government’s permission to reopen the theaters, the closure continued in the state. In previous discussions with various organizations, it was agreed that theaters should not be opened for the time being.
