Nedumangad: The Peppara Dam was filled with water due to heavy rainfall. The water level of the dam has risen to 107.2 meters. The maximum storage capacity of the dam is 107.5 meters. The Irrigation Department said that if the water level rises from its maximum storage capacity, the dam will be opened. If the water level rises to 107.5 meters, all four shutters will be opened. In this case, the district administration has instructed the residents of Karamanayar to be vigilant. Heavy rains are expected in eight districts of the state in the coming days, the Met Office said.
