Thiruvananthapuram: The vaccination camp for pet dogs organized by the municipality will start from tomorrow. Pet dogs that receive the vaccine are also licensed at the camp. Dogs that have been vaccinated within one year will be licensed on production of certificates on payment of statutory fee. As part of the campaign, strict legal action will be taken against the owners who do not take the vaccine and obtain the license.
In order to solve the issue of stray dogs, Thiruvananthapuram Municipal Corporation ABC Monitoring Committee decided to conduct a campaign to fully vaccinate street dogs and pet dogs. Vaccination of domestic dogs is the first phase of the campaign.
The first phase of the camp will start on 18th and end on 20th. Vaccination for pet dogs will be done in 15 veterinary hospitals working under the municipality.
