Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala goes to the Supreme Court on the issue of wildlife birth control. Permission will be sought to prevent the breeding of wildlife. Forest Minister AK Saseendran said that legal advice will be sought for this. It was also decided to increase the strength of the Rapid Action Force.
The decision has been taken in the context of continued tiger attacks. An all-party meeting will be held in Wayanad tomorrow for this purpose. The government will take the proposals raised in the meeting seriously. The minister added that vital issues should not be used as political weapons and cooperation is needed in this matter, not struggle.
Meanwhile, in Palakkad, Dhoni has again been attacked by wild animals. The wild elephant came near Varakulam Estate. The pesky elephant PT VII is also in the group. There are five elephants in the group including two cubs. The forest department officials chased away the herd of wild elephants that entered the residential area around 8 pm. However, around two o’clock PT VII came back. They were stationed in the residential area till dawn. Agriculture was also extensively destroyed.
