Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Savaari, Kerala’s first online taxi service owned by the state government, is now available on the Google Play Store.
The Chief Minister inaugurated the service on August 17. But it was big news that the app didn’t reach the play store due to some technical issues.
Officials explained that the app was delayed due to the delay in Google verification. Kerala Savaari was started by the Motor Workers Welfare Board under the leadership of the Labor Department to ensure fair and decent service to the passengers and to provide fair remuneration to the auto taxi workers.
You can log in to the app by giving your phone number and email address. The service of this app is being made available in Thiruvananthapuram as a pilot program. It will then be expanded to other regions. Auto and taxis can be booked through this. The app provides a very simple interface. The authorities stated that the Kerala Savaari will reach Kollam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kozhikode, and Kannur municipal limits within a month.
The panic button in the app will help passengers in times of crisis. The information will reach the nearest police station and control room. Ambulance and fire service services are also available.
The government says that the drivers will have jackets and ID cards. The Kerala Savari sticker will be on the front and rear of the vehicle. A 24-hour call center has been launched in addition to the facility for passengers to lodge complaints on the application. No: 9072 272 208.
