Kochi Cyber Police registered a case in the incident of fake version of ‘Marco’ movie being circulated on social media. The case was registered on the complaint filed by the producer of the film, Muhammad Sharif. The complaint was that a fake version of the film was widely circulated through the Telegram group and this caused financial loss to the producers. Earlier, Kochi Cyber Police had arrested three people in the incident of spreading fake versions of ARM movies.
On December 20, the film directed by Hanif Adeni and starring Unni Mukundan hit the theaters. According to the tracking reports, Marco’s pre-sales collection was over 1 crore. With this, Unni Mukundan’s film ‘Marco’ became the biggest opening day collection in his career.
Labeled as ‘Malayalam’s Most Violent Film’, the film has been hailed as the most violent film in India. With this, thousands flocked to the theater to watch the movie. The fake version came out while the box office continued to boom.
The action choreography of this film is done by renowned action director Kalai Kingson. It is reported that out of the 100 days of shooting, 60 days were action scenes. ‘Marco’ is the highest budget film in Unni Mukundan’s career.
