Thiruvananthapuram: A decision has been taken to reopen the theaters which were closed after the lockdown in the state. The decision was taken at the covid review meeting convened by the Chief Minister to open the theaters from the 25th of this month. Admission is limited to 50% of the seats. It is also permitted to operate AC in theaters. Further exemptions were announced. The wedding can be attended by up to 50 people. The gram sabhas were allowed to join up to 50 people.
Movie theaters and indoor auditoriums will be open from October 25 with conditions. Admission is open to those who have received two doses of the vaccine, including workers who have received two doses of the vaccine. Allow 50 percent seating capacity.
Classes at all colleges and other training institutes will begin on October 18, including staff, teachers, and students who have received two doses of the vaccine. Covid Negative Certificate is not required for admission to various institutions within the State. Two-dose vaccination is sufficient.
Pre-metric hostels and model residential schools will be open from November 1, when other schools will open on the Bio Bubble model. This would be in line with what was allowed to start classes at other schools, including staff who received two doses of the vaccine. Up to 50 people will be allowed to attend weddings and funerals. Gramsabhas will be allowed to join from November 1, with a physical distance of up to 50 people.
Colleges, college hostels, and schools operating as CFLTC and CSLTC should be excluded. Volunteers can be found to replace those teachers who have been assigned to covid duty.
