Kochi: The crime branch has found more evidence against Monson Mavungal in the archeological fraud case. Monson has defrauded the state of about Rs. 25 crore in the last four years. According to the crime branch, the transactions were done directly by avoiding bank transactions. Further investigations are underway as no records of the expenditure can be found at present.
Details of celebrations organized by Monson and payments for events organized at hotels will be sought. The investigation team had also found that the Monson edition in the name of Monson and the Kalinga companies were also fake. Monson does not have the company’s records. Meanwhile, the crime branch registered another case against Monson on a complaint filed by Santosh, a native of Kilimanoor. The complaint is that he cheated by giving antiquities. This brings to five the number of cases registered by the police against Monson.
