Thiruvananthapuram: Power regulation has been withdrawn in the state. The 15-minute power outage, which lasted for two days, was lifted.
Electricity will be available from Arunachal Pradesh from May 3. It was also agreed to purchase 100 MW of power from the power exchange at Rs 17 per unit. Consumers are also advised to use less power from 6 pm to 11 pm.
A 15-minute power cut has been imposed in rural areas of the state since April 28. The regulation came as the coal crisis intensified. Control was from 6.30 pm to 11pm.
