The new exciting news coming out from the world of Malayalam film industry is that the film industry in Kerala has finally lifted the ban on two of its most promising young stars, Shane Nigam and Sreenath Bhasi. Fans of these up-and-coming actors can now breathe a sigh of relief and look forward to seeing them light up the silver screen once again.
In April of this year, AMMA, FEFKA (19 different organizations), and the producers association, along with producer Renjith, stated that the behavior of actors Shane Nigam and Sreenath Bhasi had gone too far. Until they improve their behavior, no one in the industry will work with them.
The associations withdrew the ban on Sreenath Bhasi and Shane Nigam after Bhasi apologized to the associations and Nigam agreed to make changes. In April, the Producers Association president Renjith M announced that the actors were excluded, but clarified that it was not a ban as producers could still choose to work with them. Renjith accused the actors of causing issues on set due to drug use, lateness, and double-booking. He also claimed they showed disrespect to directors, producers, and senior actors. Renjith acknowledged that other actors used substances while working, but there were no complaints against them.
