Kozhikode: The verdict in the case registered in Kozhikode in connection with the solar scam has been postponed. The Kozhikode Judicial First Class Magistrate Court will give its verdict on the 11th of this month. Biju Radhakrishnan is the first accused in the case and Saritha S. Nair is the second accused. A case has been registered against Abdul Majeed, a resident of Kozhikode, for allegedly buying Rs 42.70 lakh from a solar panel to install solar panels in his house and office.
The verdict was not pronounced today as the magistrate was on leave. The third accused is B. Manimon, a native of Kodungallur, who prepared fake documents for the accused. The trial, which began on January 25, 2018, examined 36 witnesses. The trial was completed in October 2018. As the magistrate’s transferred, the new magistrate will take up the matter again and prepare to pronounce judgment in the case.
