Thrissur: Malayalam singer P Jayachandran passed away. He died in Thrissur. He was eighty years old. He was ill and was under treatment for a long time.
In 1986, he won the Central Film Award for Best Singer. He also won the state award five times in Kerala and four times in Tamil Nadu. He has also received the JC Daniel Award, the highest film award in Kerala.
