The first phase of meetings convened by Public Education Minister V Sivankutty in connection with the opening of the school has come to an end. The meeting was held with DEO and AEO officials. Matters relating to teacher training and the conditions for conducting classes according to the covid norms were discussed. Consideration is being given to creating conditions for teaching children in nearby schools who do not have the infrastructure to start classes within the stipulated day.
In the last three or four days, Education Minister V Sivankutty has convened meetings of various organizations to circumcise the general public. The Department of Education is making extensive preparations for the opening of the school. The Department of Education is in the process of releasing a guideline in this regard on the fifth day.
Separate meetings of teachers’ unions, student unions, youth unions and trade unions were convened. These organizations expressed their full support for the opening of the school. Meetings of DDE, RDD and AD officials were also attended. At the meeting of the mayors and district panchayat presidents, the heads of the local bodies also assured their support. The meeting was also attended by APM Mohammad Haneesh IAS, Principal Secretary, Public Education and K Jeevanbabu IAS, Director, Public Education.
