Thiruvananthapuram: Kalamandalam Sathyabhama granted bail in the case of racial abuse against RLV Ramakrishna. The bail was granted by the Nedumangad SC/ST Court. Bail was granted with strict conditions to appear whenever the police asked and not to repeat similar crimes.
At the same time, Sathyabhama told the court that she did not deliberately make abusive remarks against RLV Ramakrishnan. She told the court that due to the controversy, she has lost students and her livelihood has been disrupted. Advocate Aloor, who appeared in the court for Satyabhama, clarified how the reference of black child falls within the scope of SC/ST section and white people are also in SC/ST category in North India. But RLV Ramakrishnan and the prosecution opposed Satyabhama’s bail plea. After the incident became controversial, a similar reaction was repeated through the media and others. Ramakrishnan told the court that he had forgotten that the accused was a teacher. The prosecution argued that it was necessary to interrogate the accused in custody, but the court rejected this and granted bail.
