At the same time, there is no night curfew. The decision was taken at the covid review meeting chaired by the Chief Minister today. Only essential services will be allowed. Schools will not be closed completely.

Only essential services are allowed on the 23rd and 30th. The maximum number of people who can attend weddings and funerals has been reduced to 20. It was decided to divide the districts into two zones and tighten the restrictions. The decisions were made at today’s Covid review meeting. Further restrictions will be imposed in Palakkad, Idukki, Thiruvananthapuram, Wayanad, and Pathanamthitta districts. All public events are regulated in these areas. Worship services will be conducted online only. Public events are not allowed in hotspots.
As part of the restrictions, Ernakulam, Alappuzha, and Kollam districts will be included in the ‘A’ category. The number of people attending public functions will be limited to a maximum of 50. The government has said it will not impose restrictions on malls and businesses. Management should exercise self-regulation in these areas.
