Thiruvananthapuram: The Labor Commissioner has ordered a rescheduling of working hours till April 30 to prevent workers from getting sunstroke due to rising daytime temperatures in the state.
Accordingly, those working in day shifts will have a rest period from 12 noon to 3 pm.
Their working hours are from 7 am to 7 pm and 8 hours. Working hours on other morning and afternoon shifts have been rescheduled to end at 12 noon and start at 3 pm, respectively.
