Thiruvananthapuram: Relaxations on covid controls in the state will come into effect from today. Thiruvananthapuram, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, and Idukki districts, which were in the C category, got more concessions. Meanwhile, strict control will continue in the C category Kollam district. There will be restrictions similar to the lockdown tomorrow.
The exemptions were given in the context of declining disease prevalence. Theater, gym, and swimming pool are not Category C licensed. Classes 10, 11, and 12 and colleges will be open from Monday. The school will open on the 14th of this month for classes one to nine.
The Minister of Education was directed to complete the preparations before opening the schools. Currently, only the next review meeting will decide on Sunday’s change of control. Asymptomatic expatriates will no longer be tested and barred from contact.
