New Delhi: Railways with guidelines for night journeys. Railways have issued instructions to be followed after 10 pm. After 10 pm, passengers should not talk loudly, listen to music or flash lights, etc. Railways said that strict action will be taken against passengers found violating the new rules.
New night travel guidelines
TTE will not be able to come to check passengers tickets after 10 pm
Passengers traveling in groups should not communicate loudly with each other after 10 pm
After 10, the lower berth must allow the seat open for the fellow passenger in the middle berth
Online food cannot be served in train services after 10 pm. However, overnight meals or breakfast can be pre-ordered using e-catering services
After 10 pm, no passenger sitting in a seat, compartment or coach shall talk loudly on a mobile phone.
No passenger should listen to loud music
Lights should not be turned on unnecessarily after 10 pm
On-board TTEs, catering staff and other railway officials have also been asked to observe common courtesy in trains and intervene immediately if they create problems for fellow passengers.
Any act against public acceptance like smoking, consumption of alcohol etc. is not allowed in the train compartments.
