Thrissur, Kerala: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to kick off his campaign for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in Kerala with a visit to Thrissur on January 2nd. The focus of his visit will be the “Sthree Shakthi Samgam” (Women’s Empowerment Summit), organized to celebrate the passage of the Women’s Bill. However, BJP state president K Surendran has confirmed that discussions on upcoming Lok Sabha elections will also be a key agenda item.
The visit marks the beginning of a multi-pronged campaign strategy for the BJP in Kerala. Senior party leaders, including Home Minister Amit Shah, National President JP Nadda, and other prominent figures, will participate in various campaign events across the South Indian state in the lead-up to the elections. Additionally, party workers will undertake a “padayatra” (foot march) across all Lok Sabha constituencies in Kerala by the end of January.
Surendran further announced plans to distribute Prime Minister Modi’s Christmas message to Christian households across Kerala, aiming to strengthen the party’s connection with the community.
With the upcoming Lok Sabha elections heating up, Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Kerala and the subsequent campaign activities are sure to raise the political temperature in the state. The BJP’s efforts to woo voters, particularly women and Christian communities, will be closely watched as the party seeks to expand its presence in the southern state.
