Thiruvananthapuram: Ponmudi EcoTourism will be opened today ending the long wait of tourists. The tourist center of the capital is reviving with the reconstruction of the roads damaged during the rainy season.
Tourists are welcome to the snowy Ponmudi. After a long hiatus, the cool and windy Ponmudinnumas have re-entered the tourist map.
Last August, the main tourist center of the capital was closed due to landslides. Traffic came to a complete standstill after the road collapsed at the twelfth bend. After the reconstruction of the road, the tourism and disaster management departments decided to allow entry.
Usually hundreds of people used to come to Ponmudi in a day. Ponmudi, which used to be crowded during Onam and holidays, is becoming active again. Officials informed that there will be restrictions for travelers as the road development works continue.
