THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Local Self-Government Excise Minister MV Govindan Master has informed that all gram panchayat offices in the state will work today for the file settlement drive. Panchayat Director Office and Deputy Director Offices will function. The staff will carry out file processing-related activities in the offices. Other services will not be available to the public tomorrow. The minister appreciated all the employees who are present for work for file settlement.
The drive for file disposal is from June 15 to September 30. The Chief Minister had directed all the employees to take one day off in a month to resolve the pending files. A part of this is the process of making every holiday from July to September a working day. Minister MV Govindan Master asked all the employees to take the necessary steps to clear the pending files immediately. The Local Self-Government Department is making good efforts to clear the pending files. The minister also informed that more energetic measures will be taken.
