Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said that the restrictions will be tightened in the event of COVID spreading in the state. Strict action should be taken against those who do not maintain social distance.
The CM also said that action should be taken against the shop owners who do not keep their distance. The CM was meeting the media after the COVID 19 review meeting.
Those with the rank of Gazetted Officer in the State Government Service will be assigned the responsibility of such matters in the Panchayats and Municipal Corporations. They will have to be given some powers for the time being. The CM also said that there are plans to increase the fines for those who do not wear masks.
